Tesla proves electric cars make luxurious feel

The 2012 Tesla Model S proves that electric cars are ready to compete in the luxury segment. If rich, why not green as the Tesla S this seems cool?

What's not to love about the idea of electric cars? The quiet, yet powerful elegance of electron-powered cars was intoxicating for almost anyone who has ever such a vehicle.

Unfortunately, while electric cars make sense uber-in theory, real world costs make such vehicles unaffordable for mainstream buyers.

For luxury buyers seem however EVs like the Model S ready to compete.

In terms of style, Guy Fieri would say the Tesla Model S is "on the point"-just a wonderful-looking sedan. But the s offers considerable substance than her well-sculpted exterior in the form of some serious green and foreign oil-reducing dependence bragging rights.

"Look at me. Not only can I ride a hot looking yet refined sedan, but a built with the latest and greatest technology that completely foreign oil and CO2 emissions in the exhaust gases free ride. While I enjoy luxury, I care. "

Seriously, ego is a piece of the purchase of luxury, especially when + $ 50,000 price tags are at stake. So, while a 70,000 dollar Mercedes a nice bit of pride, a $ 70,000 300 miles plug-in electric car offers much more Schadenfreude power, especially when so sleekly curved as the Model s.

Rich, hip and environmentally friendly, rather than just a conceited turd. Who wouldn't be jealous of a Model S owner?

In addition, electric cars simply doesn't make sense today, at least not for us average Schmuck, but they can make a lot of sense in the luxury segment and the Model S is shaping up in what seems to be a real player in this segment.
